Registration Period

Field trip registration is open until Sunday, December 18th, 2022 at 11.59pm PST or until capacity has been reached.

  1. Water Park of New England (inside the hotel)
    Cost: $25 (Children under 2yrs is free with an adult)
    Eligible to join: Everyone
    9am – 1pm for Sisters
    1.30 – 5.30pm for Brothers
    Chaperone/Parent volunteers: Free of Charge, max. 12
    Note:
    Dress Code: Proper Muslim Swimwear
    Burkinis for Sisters, Navel to Knees for Brothers
    Children younger than 6 years old have to be accompanied by parent or guardian
    Chaperone/Parent volunteer will supervise group of children between 6 to 15 years old
  2. Boston-area College Visits (Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern University)
    Cost: $25
    Eligible to join: Youth High School & College Student
    Gather at the latest: 9:30 AM
    Bus departure from hotel: 10:00 AM
    Tour: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    Praying/lunch/wwalking-tour: 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
    Arrive at Hotel: 3:00 PM
    Note:
    Itinerary is subject to change under certain circumstances
    Chaperones for this trip will be provided by committee
Vaccinations Requirements

Vaccinations are no longer required but recommended. Face masks are no longer required but recommended (Boston lifted indoor mask mandate since March 2022). Participants and volunteers agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath). Participants are expected to refrain from participating should they experience any of the symptoms above.

Rules and Regulations
  • Participants must follow rules & regulations set by the field trip committee.
  • Field trip is only open to registered Muktamar participants.
  • All field trip participants must gather at designated place (to be announced prior to field trip date) at designated time. Participants are responsible to be at the gathering place on time to avoid missing the bus or group entry to water park.
  • Committee is not responsible for participants who miss their bus or entry to water park due to late arrival at the meeting point.
  • Participants will be assigned into groups with a group leader. Participants must follow directions from their group leader, field trip coordinator, and their bus driver.
  • Participants must wear their Muktamar name tag at all times. Water park participants will be given waterproof bracelet.
  • Participants must wear appropriate Muslim attire and maintain Muslim behavior during the entire field trip.
  • Participants should communicate any problem or concern during the field trip to their group leader. The group leader will communicate the issue to the field trip committee.
  • Participants will be given warning by their group leader and/or field trip committee for unruly behavior. Repeat offenses will result in removal from the field trip. Parents or guardians are responsible for their transportation back to the hotel.
  • Parents or guardians of minor field trip participants should sign out for their children once they arrive back at the hotel.
Parent Volunteer
  • Parent volunteers are needed only for Water Park field trip. Chaperones for College Visits field trip will be provided by Committee.
  • As a parent volunteer, you may be assigned as a group leader that is in charge of a small group that includes your own child for the length of the trip.
  • Parent volunteers are responsible to keep everyone in their group together and accounted for at all times during the trip. Be aware of the entire group's whereabouts and not only their child.
  • Parent volunteers are expected to maintain the group's order and stop disruptive behavior from participants.
  • Be sure that all parent volunteers have a list of all children names and important contact information. Try to learn the children’s names as soon as possible. Find out about children’s allergies or any medical conditions.
  • Note meeting place and time, especially if your group is free to wander the ground independently.
  • If possible, do research of the field trip destination beforehand to get familiar with the lay of the land and have an idea of what to expect.
Changes and Cancellation
  • Requests for changes and cancellation can be done by sending email to: fieldtrip@muktamar.us.
  • Requests for changes and cancellation will be accepted until Sunday, December 18, 2022 and they are subject to eligibility and space availability for each field trip destination.
  • No refund for cancellation after Sunday, December 18, 2022 but the spot is transferable.
  • Requests for changes after Sunday, December 18, 2022 will have to be addressed to the onsite field trip committee.
General Conditions
  • Muktamar Terms & Conditions are incorporated herein by reference.
  • Requests for changes and cancellation will be accepted until Sunday, December 18, 2022 and they are subject to eligibility and space availability for each field trip destination.
