Field trip registration is open until Monday, December 3rd, 2023 at 11.59pm PST or until capacity has been reached.

  1. Wonder World Cave and Adventure Park
    Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 9am

    Cost (All-In-One Admission Ticket & Bus Accommodation):
    Child (0-3 years old): $15
    Child (4 years old and up) and Youth: $25
    College Student & Adult: $30
    Children younger than 6-year-old are required to be accompanied by parent or guardian
    Chaperone/Parent volunteer will supervise a group of children 6 years old and up.

    Enjoy a guided tour and discover the nation’s only true example of an EARTHQUAKE-FORMED CAVE.
    Go deep underground and see up close the devastation of a major quake.
    Be amazed by the Topsy-Turvy World of the Anti-Gravity House where everything is backwards, even water flows uphill!
    Board the train and splash through the waterfalls of Mystery Mountain on your way to the Texas Wildlife Petting Park.

    WARNING:
    The Cave has steep stairs going down and up throughout the tour. It is not recommended for people recovering from any recent hip or leg surgery, or for those who suffer from heart or breathing conditions. Please consult with your doctor before visiting. We offer railings and lighting throughout the cave. We also offer seating along the way. The walk is approximately 1 mile long.


  2. Youth Outbound
    Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 9am - 3pm
    Location: Starts at the hotel and continues at a nearby park.
    Join this outdoor team building event specially crafted for our Youth that aim to develop better communication, problem solving, emotional growth, friendship bond and leadership skills among participants. Participants will take part in activities such as scavenger hunt, puzzle, tug-of-war, and other activities with special prizes for the winning teams.
    Available for Youth High School and College students.
    Cost: $10


  3. Group Cruise with Capital Cruise (2-hr excursion)

    Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11am
    Enjoy a two-hour excursion on Lady Bird Lake. See an incredible variety of flora, fauna, and the beautiful backdrop of Austin's skyline on Lady Bird Lake, Available for All Ages (Children must be accompanied by parent or guardian).
    Cost: $30
    Boarding is 30-min prior boat departure time.
    Participants will need to walk approx. 23-min (1-mile) from the hotel to the boat area.
    Committee will not provide lunch or snacks for this trip.
    Capital Cruises is the largest all-electric boat fleet on the Highland Lakes. Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on 208 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX,
    To ensure the tour's availability, a minimum of 30 participants is required, with a maximum limit of 100 participants.
    Hotel’s check-out time is 12pm. If you need to check-out on Dec. 27th, you may check-out prior to the Cruise and store your luggage at a designated area that the Committee will provide.


Vaccinations Requirements

Vaccinations are no longer required but recommended. Face masks are no longer required but recommended. Participants and volunteers agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath). Participants are expected to refrain from participating should they experience any of the symptoms above.
Rules and Regulations
  • Participants must follow rules & regulations set by the field trip committee.
  • Field trip is only open to registered Muktamar participants.
  • All field trip participants must gather at designated place (to be announced prior to field trip date) at designated time. Participants are responsible to be at the gathering place on time to avoid missing the bus or group entry to water park.
  • Committee is not responsible for participants who miss their bus or entry to water park due to late arrival at the meeting point.
  • Participants will be assigned into groups with a group leader. Participants must follow directions from their group leader, field trip coordinator, and their bus driver.
  • Participants must wear their Muktamar name tag at all times. Water park participants will be given waterproof bracelet.
  • Participants must wear appropriate Muslim attire and maintain Muslim behavior during the entire field trip.
  • Participants should communicate any problem or concern during the field trip to their group leader. The group leader will communicate the issue to the field trip committee.
  • Participants will be given warning by their group leader and/or field trip committee for unruly behavior. Repeat offenses will result in removal from the field trip. Parents or guardians are responsible for their transportation back to the hotel.
  • Parents or guardians of minor field trip participants should sign out for their children once they arrive back at the hotel.
Parent Volunteer
  • Parent volunteers are needed only for Wonder World Park field trip.
  • As a parent volunteer, you may be assigned as a group leader that is in charge of a small group that includes your own child for the length of the trip.
  • Parent volunteers are responsible to keep everyone in their group together and accounted for at all times during the trip. Be aware of the entire group's whereabouts and not only their child.
  • Parent volunteers are expected to maintain the group's order and stop disruptive behavior from participants.
  • Be sure that all parent volunteers have a list of all children names and important contact information. Try to learn the children’s names as soon as possible. Find out about children’s allergies or any medical conditions.
  • Note meeting place and time, especially if your group is free to wander the ground independently.
  • If possible, do research of the field trip destination beforehand to get familiar with the lay of the land and have an idea of what to expect.
Changes and Cancellation
  • Requests for changes and cancellation can be done by sending email to: fieldtrip@muktamar.us.
  • Requests for changes and cancellation will be accepted until Monday, December 18, 2023 and they are subject to eligibility and space availability for each field trip destination.
  • No refund for cancellation after Monday, December 18, 2023 but the spot is transferable.
  • Requests for changes after Monday, December 18, 2023 will have to be addressed to the onsite field trip committee.
General Conditions
  • Muktamar Terms & Conditions are incorporated herein by reference.
  • Requests for changes and cancellation will be accepted until Monday, December 18, 2023 and they are subject to eligibility and space availability for each field trip destination.
